Additionally, in 2001 and 2002, Principal Consultant Mary Krost worked with the risk manager of a federation of 63 wastewater agencies across California. She conducted extensive field visits to the facilities and spent many days observing and interacting with maintenance & operations workers as well as collections workers She then videotaped the workers at their tasks. Mary Krost & Associates has recently released the media training program, Ergonomics and Injury Prevention Customized to the Wastewater Worker. It features an interactive ergonomics seminar, supplementary materials and optional on-site seminar, coaching, and ongoing follow-up. The emphasis of the Office Ergonomics program is on ergonomics (also called human factors engineering). Designed to identify hazardous conditions and reduce musculoskeletal injuries frequently occurring in the office environment , then improve the employee work settings and use of furniture and equipment particularly in the use of computers.
